It it possible an ambience between Viagra, food and alcohol?

It should be perfectly safe to take Viagra with food and moderate amounts of alcohol. However, you're likely to achieve best results sober and on an empty stomach.

Food, especially fatty food, can lengthen the time Viagra takes to work and can even decrease its effectiveness. You might need to take more to get the same effect, and that could increase side effects.

Alcohol is even worse. Many men find that alcohol hurts their ability to get an erection. Since the whole point of Viagra is to get a good, strong erection, it seems counter-productive to drink before taking it. This is especially a problem if the alcohol forces you to take a higher dose.

Some men report that Levitra works better than Viagra in combination with food and alcohol. So, if you like your love tipsy and/or on a full stomach, you might want to experiment with that alternative.

We always recommend using as low of a dose as you can. You'll have fewer side effects and have less of an "unnatural" erection; the ideal is to take enough.

How erection medications work?

Know how erection medications work. Currently there are four prescription drugs available for erection problems: Viagra, ****, **** and Yohimbine. They all essentially work the same way. Sexual arousal stimulates release of a compound, nitric oxide (NO), in the ****. Nitric oxide, in turn, triggers synthesis of cGMP, which relaxes the ****’ smooth muscle tissue, and allows extra blood to flow into the organ’s spongy central erectile tissues. Erection drugs enhance this smooth muscle relaxation, spurring greater blood flow into the ****.

Depending on the medication, erection drugs are taken two to 36 hours before lovemaking, so the woman need not know you’re using a drug. These prescription drugs help men with ED caused by both physical illness and stress/anxiety problems. Most studies show that they produce erections in 75 percent of those who use them, with even greater effectiveness among men with only mild or occasional problems. They raise erection only with normal sexual stimulation. No walking around with an embarrassing bulge in your pants that signals you have taken a drug.

Viagra

GENERIC NAME: sildenafil

BRAND NAME: Viagra, Revatio

DRUG CLASS AND MECHANISM: It has been estimated that impotence affects 140 million men worldwide. Over half of all men with impotence are thought to have some physical (medical) cause. The remainder are believed to have psychogenic causes of impotence. Medical causes of impotence include diabetes and circulatory, neurological or urological conditions.
Penile erection is caused by the engorgement of the penis with blood. This engorgement occurs when the blood vessels delivering blood to the penis increase the delivery of blood and the blood vessels carrying blood away from the penis decrease the removal of blood. Under normal conditions, sexual stimulation leads to the production and release of nitric oxide in the penis. Nitric oxide then activates the enzyme, guanylate cyclase, which causes the production of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). It is the cGMP that is primarily responsible for the erection by affecting the amount of blood that the blood vessels deliver and remove from the penis.
Sildenafil also reduces the pressure in the pulmonary artery in a serious condition called pulmonary arterial hypertension.
Sildenafil inhibits an enzyme called phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) which destroys the cGMP. Thus, sildenafil prevents the destruction of cGMP and allows cGMP to accumulate and persist longer. The longer cGMP persists, the more prolonged the engorgement of the penis.
PRESCRIPTION: Yes
GENERIC AVAILABLE: No
PREPARATIONS: Viagra is a blue, film-coated, rounded, diamond-shaped tablets that comes in 25, 50, and 100 mg tablets for treating impotence. Revatio comes in a 20 mg tablet and is used for treating pulmonary arterial hypertension..
STORAGE: Tablets should be kept at room temperature, 15- 30°C (59-86°F).
PRESCRIBED FOR: Sildenafil is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction of either organic (medical condition) or psychogenic (psychological) cause and for pulmonary arterial hypertension.
DOSING: Sildenafil is rapidly absorbed. Maximum observed plasma concentrations are reached within 30 to 120 minutes (median 60 minutes) of oral dosing in the fasted state. When sildenafil is taken with a high fat meal, the rate of absorption is reduced, with an average delay in the time to maximal concentration of 1 hour.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Sildenafil increases the effects of the blood pressure lowering medications. It also increases the blood pressure lowering effects of nitrates, e.g. isosorbide dinitrate (Isordil), isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur, Ismo, Monoket), nitroglycerin (Nitro-Dur, Transderm-Nitro) that are used primarily for treating angina. Patients taking nitrates should not receive sildenafil.
Cimetidine (Tagamet), erythromycin, ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox) and mibefradil (Posicor) can cause marked increases in the amount of sildenafil in the body. Patients taking these medications should be observed carefully if sildenafil is used.
It is expected that rifampin will decrease blood levels of sildenafil and probably reduce its effectiveness.
PREGNANCY: Although extensive testing in animals has demonstrated no negative effects on the fetus, sildenafil has not been studied in pregnant women. There is no effect on sperm count or motility of sperm in men.
NURSING MOTHERS: It is not known whether sildenafil is excreted into breast milk.
SIDE EFFECTS: Approximately 15% of persons taking sildenafil experience side effects. The most common side effects are facial flushing (1 in 10), headaches (1 in 6), stomach pain, nasal congestion, nausea, diarrhea, and an inability to differentiate between the colors green and blue. Rare cases of sudden loss of hearing have been reported with phosphodiesterase inhibitors such as sildenafil, sometimes with ringing in the ears and dizziness. If changes in hearing occur, patients should discontinue their sildenafil and seek immediate medical attention.

Impotence

"The inability to obtain and/or maintain a penile erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse" is known as impotence. It is also termed as erectile dysfunction (ED) or male sexual dysfunction.
Many males of different age groups suffer from impotence but at varying levels. Males above the age of 40 have the most cases, but growing age is not always the main reason for impotence. Even men in their twenties and thirties can have impotence problems for various different reasons.
Medical solution for ImpotenceLow degree impotence or impotence of primary level can easily be treated by improving your life style and work habits without having to seek treatment. But, however, there are instances where it is best to seek advice from your doctor and look into prescription treatment options.
Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are three highly effective prescription drugs which could work to treat impotence.

Viagra 'aids muscular dystrophy'

Viagra improves blood flow
The anti-impotence drug Viagra may help save people with muscular dystrophy from an early death, a study suggests.
Researchers found the way the drug works to combat impotence may also help ward off heart failure in muscular dystrophy patients.
Tests on mice with a version of the disease showed the drug helped keep their hearts working well.
The Montreal Heart Institute study appears in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
It is important to remember that benefits seen in animals do not always translate into human medicine
Dr Marita PohlschmidtMuscular Dystrophy Campaign
Muscular dystrophy is a genetic condition causing wasting of the muscles.
The first signs of muscular weakness appear at roughly age five, leading to a progressive loss in the ability to walk by the age of 13.
People with the condition are also at a higher risk of heart failure due to a weakening of the muscles which keep the organ pumping strongly.
For this reason, many people with Duchenne muscular dystrophy - the most common form of the condition - die in early life, often in their 20s or 30s.

Blood flow
The Montreal team found that Viagra - known technically as sildenafil - prevents the loss of a molecule, cGMP, which plays a key role in keeping blood vessels dilated.
In the penis, this increases blood flow, and helps to combat impotence.
But in the heart it helps to ensure the organ itself receives a proper supply of blood, and remains healthy and strong.
With the heart in a strong condition, it is more able to withstand the impact of weakening muscle cells caused by muscular dystrophy.
Viagra works by blocking an enzyme, PDE5, which breaks down cGMP.
Professor Jean-Claude Tardif, director of the Montreal Heart Institute Research Centre, said: "These experimental results give us hope that one day it will be possible to treat with this approach cardiac problems in patients with muscular dystrophy, and perhaps even treat other heart diseases."
The researchers also inserted a gene that increased cGMP production in the mice's heart cells, and found that this helped the animals to maintain normal cardiac function.
Dr Marita Pohlschmidt, director of research at the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, said the research was interesting.
However, she added: "It is important to remember that benefits seen in animals do not always translate into human medicine.
"Although this is promising, it is still very early days and we look forward to further research that will demonstrate the impact it might have for people with muscular dystrophy." My girlfriend has a high sexual appetite

I am a 41 year old man who, thus far, never had the opportunity to have sexual intercourse, and this now presents itself with a lady I am very fond of and am getting very serious about. Recently, we "tried" and I was not successful to climax during my love making performance. I identify a few issues which are involved. First, I am not circumcised and I have a tight-ish foreskin, for which I am using Betamethasone Valerate treatment, along with some stretching.
Second, and more important, I have obviously been used, all my life this far, to the one person version of self stimulation arousal for orgasms. However, I am somewhat concerned that this has "programmed" me, and that it is now dificult for me to find the attempted intercourse act sufficiently arousing to actually obtain performance abilities. In addition, there is the issue that whatever visual fantasies I preoccuiped myself within the one person self stimulation version...it is difficult to get past these, it would seem, in the actual act.
My apologies if this is too explicit. It is a genuine and serious problem, I assure you, which is causing me some considerable anxiety when making love. My girlfriend has a high sexual appetite, which means that she wants this "sorted" fairly quickly, which in turn obviously rebounds onto performance anxiety on me....and I am afraid that if I cant get it "sorted" or perform when making love within a reasonable time, that she is going to look elsewhere, if you take my meaning. I hope someone here can help me unravel this problem and offer some sound advice. Do you think Viagra would help?
Thank you very much in advance.
